For kids with food allergies why not to try my very simple Pasta Salad Recipe, which I have found once in a magazine, tested it on many occasions on my kids, they love it, hope your little learners will love it as well.
Pasta Salad
Ingredients:
- Cooked pasta, I love using penne or farfalle for my pasta salads
- Cooked tuna in brine or springwater
- Shredded baby spinach
- Halved cherry tomatoes
- Lemon juice
- Olive oil
Method:
Cook you pasta in boiling water for 8-10 minutes or until softened. Drain and rinse. Drain and flake your tuna and add to pasta. Add shredded spinach, cherry tomatoes and add a dash of olive oil and some freshly squeezed lemon juice. Easy nutritious and very tasty pasta salad your kids will love, and you can have the leftovers for you lunch;).
This pasta salad recipe is so simple that you can cook it with your kids. They can practice their math while measuring the necessary amount of water and pasta, learning their time recognition skills while waiting for the pasta to be perfectly cooked al dente. I also noticed with my kids they are much eager to try and eat something new when they cook it themselves. So, try this easy kids friendly recipe, you will not be disappointed.
