It is fun cooking with kids! You will be surprised at how many easy recipes you could adjust for cooking with kids together.
Cooking with kids and involving them in preparation of their own food can help you to feed your fussy eaters; kids eat much better the food they cooked themselves. You may also involve your little chefs in preparing their birthday party by preparing some simple but yummy party finger food like my Cucumber Boats.
Cucumber Boats
Ingredients
• can of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
• cucumbers, cut lengthwise in half, seeded
• carrot, shredded
• raisins
Cut your cucumbers lengthwise and scoop the seeds with the teaspoon. Spoon the cream cheese into cucumber shells. Cut each cucumber half into 5 pieces to serve. Decorate with raisins as “pirates”, and use carrot sticks as vessels for your colourful sailboats.
You can also use celery sticks and make Pirate Ships as a healthy party food option: cutting pieces of celery and filling them with cream cheese, threading toothpicks through small piece of paper sails and inserting into the celery sticks and decorating with raisins and carrots.
Hoist the sails, maties!
P.s. Yu can also use this easy party recipe for your next theme party or as a party finger food for the boys birthday party.
