The Royal Easter Show brings the country to the city with things for every taste.
From international rodeo, woodchop and polo competitions, to carnival rides and games, fireworks, street parades and live entertainment, arts and crafts, more than 400 unique retail outlets and food outlets offering Australian and international produce.
During the Show the best competitors display the only breeds and livestock, art, food, plants, flowers, fashions and produce, trying to win a prestigious Sydney Royal Blue Ribbon.
The Show is a wonderland for kids, full of amazing discoveries and activities. At The Sunday Telegraph Animal Walk is the Dairy Farmers Farmyard Nursery, where the kids will have a close encounter with some of the cuddliest baby ducks, chicks, goats, puppies and lambs.
At the Food Farm your little explorers will be able to find the answers to a simple question – ‘where does food come from?’, listening to the stories and interesting talks from the farmers and vegetable and fruit growers, butchers and chefs.
This year the new Showtime Spectacular evening program will be held every night in the Commonwealth Bank Arena with the Sydney Royal Rodeo Series. It is Australia’s only international rodeo with a new giant screen and state-of-the-art sound and lighting system.
And if all the above was not enough, each night the Showtime Spectacular will be closing with Colours of the Outback Pyromusical, an unforgettable pyrotechnical experience that will paint the night sky to the beat of eMDee – the hottest new Australian band.
