Jamie Oliver became the world’s best loved chef with his passionate love to good food.

Jamie came to our homes with his hugely successful television series The Naked Chef, Jamie's Kitchen, Jamie's School Dinners, Jamie's Great Italian Escape, Return to School Dinners, Jamie's Chef, Jamie at Home , Jamie's Ministry of Food , and more recently Jamie's 30 Minute Meals and Jamie's Food Revolution.

Jamie Oliver's cookbooks have been translated into over 30 languages and are bestsellers all around the globe. All chefs cookbooks are packed with absolutely delicious family recipes that has been created by the chef whose philosophy to food and healthy eating and enjoying everything in a balanced way, inspires a lot of people all around the world.

As the part of the Crave Sydney International Food festival, on October 21, Jamie Oliver's famous Ministry of Food Australia had its first NSW event, carrying cooking classes for those interested on the lawn at Sydney University. The Ministry of food is a six-year-old project targeted on the children’s obesity epidemic and a general decline in basic cooking skills. Its first Australian Center has been opened in Ipswich this year.

Now we in Sydney have an awesome opportunity to experience Jamie’s approach to healthy eating ourselves.

Jamie Oliver's first Sydney restaurant, Jamie’s Italian, officially opened its doors on October 24, 107 Pitt Street, Sydney.

With 200 seats, over two storeys, this Italian eatery will be a lovely addition to already 20 Jamies’ Italian restaurants in Britain and Dubai, and another one to be opened in Brisbane next year.

It is child-friendly, with $12.50 for a mouthwatering spaghetti bolognaise, authentic tiramisu, free-range prosciutto and home-made pasta freshly made daily.

The restaurant itself looks amassing, upstairs the walls covered in graffiti, downstairs is a lovely comfortable dining area, the bar has been converted to a deli station, where one can sit and watch all things cured be prepared. Two junior chefs make 100 kilos of pasta a day in the restaurant's front window.

So, all food lovers, whether you like or don't like Jamie Oliver, come and enjoy the perfect reasonably priced food, have a perfect city lunch or a family dinner out.
