Appetizers recipes are among my favourite. As I love organising parties, whether an adult theme party or a kid’s birthday celebration, easy to prepare and not expansive recipes for party food are on the top of my list. Easy appetizers, healthy party finger recipes set the tone of the whole celebration. They can easily become a part of the party theme you choose for your next celebration.
Nowadays there are lots of interesting party theme ideas, the time of boring dinner parties has gone. You can be as bold and adventurous while choosing your party theme as you like. It can be a love to chocolate that inspires you and you will organise a chocolate theme party using chocolate not only for cooking your party food but also for your party decorations, or perhaps you may choose wild forest party as a theme for you next adults gathering. You may consider decorating your house or a backyard as a wild forest and ask your guest to come dressed up as fairies and wild animals. For this theme party you will need some simple party food appetizers as well as the main dishes and of course party dessert that will include as many vegetables and fruit as possible.
To help you with organising this kind of adult themed party you can easily use my simple appetizer recipe of stuffed mushrooms. This simple and yummy mushroom recipe for sure will help you to set the mood of your theme party.
Stuffed Mushrooms
Makes 6
Ingredients:
• 12 large mushroom caps
• olive oil
• 2 medium onions, diced
• 3 cloves garlic, chopped
• 1/2 cup white wine
• 100g feta cheese
• 0,5 cup bread crumbs
• 3 tablespoons parsley
• 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
• salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation:
Remove the stems from the mushrooms.
Place caps on a lightly oiled cookie sheet.
Finely chop the mushroom stems. Heat oil in large saucepan and sauté onion and garlic on low heat until translucent. Add white wine and cook until the liquid is almost evaporated. Allow to cool.
In a bowl, break the feta cheese up into small pieces. To this add chopped parsley, onion, and garlic mix. Mix in the olive oil until a doughy mass is formed. Add bread crumbs until it firms up. Season with some salt and pepper.
Warm the oven for 180C.
Then stuff a section about a teaspoon in size into each cap. Sprinkle with some parmesan cheese. Place in a baking pan and bake for about 15 minutes at 180C until done. Serve while hot.
Enjoy!
